Ammirati Puris Lintas has poached Paul Snudden, Saatchi and

Saatchi’s director of integration, to manage its direct marketing

effort.

Snudden, 36, takes the new title of head of integration. His role will

incorporate APL’s direct marketing, sales promotions and new-media

disciplines.

Gerald Kreinczes, APL’s strategic development director, who has been in

charge of integration at APL since the merger with Kevin Morley

Marketing in 1995, takes on the new role of head of planning for Compaq

across Europe.

William Eccleshare, APL’s chief executive, said: ’We have outstanding

talent in direct marketing, sales promotion and design and I’m confident

that under Paul’s leadership, APL’s integrated offer will be taken to a

new level of excellence.’

Snudden added: ’APL has already got a tremendous amount of talent in

direct marketing and sales promotion. The thing that swung it for me was

that there is a fairly new management committed to providing

high-quality complete communications to clients. I hope to take the

whole thing forward.’

Snudden joined Saatchis in 1991 as an integrated account director on

Carlsberg-Tetley, Hewlett-Packard and BT. He was promoted to director of

integration in 1996.
