Samsung invents a story about a man who becomes an internet sensation in a TV ad promoting the brand's connected devices.
Cheil – which began life as Samsung’s in-house agency – created the spot. It tells the tale of a young man who becomes a meme after his wife films an interaction between him and a beached dolphin, and charts his rise to fame through the people sharing his video on their Samsung devices. The products promoted in the ad are Samsung’s Curved TV and its S6 Edge Smartphone. The 60-second ad first aired on ITV on 4 January.
