The7stars' tenth year couldn't have gone better. It added loads of new clients to its books, picked up some coveted awards and continued to push creativity in its clients' campaigns.

Early in the year, the agency secured the £20 million Iceland account from MediaCom North, proving that independents can still flourish in an industry full of major networks.

The7stars opened its doors to a further 24 new clients across the year including Victoria Plumb (from Carat Manchester),, Trainline, Warner Music and Prostate Cancer, taking its billings to more than £180 million for the year. But it lost Uniqlo, which went to ZenithOptimedia.

The same effort went into the creative side, helping Iceland sponsor I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The supermarket combined TV break takeovers with a strong social media push and branded MailOnline’s masthead for a day.

For Rescue Remedy, the7stars showed off more innovation as it created a silent TV ad as the brand looked to "calm the nation", helping to increase week-on-week sales of the product by 30 per cent.

The agency was certainly rewarded for its hard work. It was named Campaign’s Media Agency of the Year, after strong competition from MediaCom, and Media Week’s Media Agency of the Year. It also claimed the title of the third-best small company to work for in The Sunday Times.

It’s going to be hard to top such a year but the co-founders, Jenny Biggam and Mark Jarvis, aren’t ones to rest on their laurels.
