Scott leaves Arnold Interactive to seek other opportunities

Alasdair Scott, the creative director at the Havas-owned digital agency Arnold Interactive, has left his job to explore new opportunities.

Scott began his career in digital advertising when he launched the interactive agency AMX in 1994 alongside his partner, Malcolm Garrett. AMX was acquired by Havas in 1998 and last year merged with its sister agency Zinc to form Arnold Interactive.

"I gave it a year following the merger to get Arnold Interactive running as a top agency and now it is running fine," Scott said. "I have always tried to be involved in new developments and now seemed a good time to go off and pursue new ventures."

His role will be filled by the joint creative director Maxine Gregson, who will take full control of the creative and design departments.

Scott, whose background is in film, is looking to work on an independent film that is currently in post-production and write his first novel.

Looking further ahead, Scott said he planned to exploit the increasing convergence of TV with the internet and emerging technologies such as third-generation mobile and interactive TV.
