Southern Comfort - 'You Can't Stop The Party'
A two-day shoot in Cape Town hampered by heavy lightning created an electric atmosphere for Southern Comfort. We enter a funky club in New Orleans at midnight, home of a noisy but hip party. The tenant living above gets the aid of a voodoo priest to drown the noise, only to be outwitted by a foxy black magic princess partying in the club below. Great direction, solid casting and an entertaining storyboard draws the audience in.

Rob Sanders captures the spirit of Dublin Dogme 95 style using natural light and 16mm equipment. "Chipper" is just that, a chip shop situated in the heart of town where locals gather to feast after a hard night of partying. "Game" enters the local pub, The Windjammer. Gritty realism and working-class talent creates undeniable charm while opera music plays over the visuals. The spots are so Irish, you can almost taste and smell the Guinness in the air. A true celebration of life.

Pilsner Urquell - 'Olympics'
This spot simply and cleverly highlights Pilsner Urquell's sponsorship of the Czech national curling team at the Winter Olympics in January. Visually smooth and sophisticated, the ad echoes the supposed profile of the target market.
It took the directorial duo Sandalz several takes to get the sliding and rotating bottles to glide across the bar -- a process which was aided by strings.

Ikea - 'Fitness'
Forsman & Bodenfors have once again created a neat story to demonstrate the problem-solving nature of Ikea. We witness a family moving into a rather spartan beach hut. This, seemingly, is not an issue, until the fitness crew appear and our protagonist is forced to confront his lifestyle. But thanks to Ikea, he doesn't have to change his life too dramatically. A strong performance from the lead character helps make this a memorable spot.

Levi's - 'Bull'
More bucking broncos. We open on a cool cowboy receiving applause after an outstanding ride on an electronic bull. An urban hipster dressed in Levi's attire then attempts to ride the bull, but flies off the bucking beast with comical effect. Shot in a quasi-documentary style the spot, which only runs in the US, revels in showing the absurdity of the cowboy image, (an obvious dig at Wrangler) instead suggesting that Levi's can deliver fashionable pants no matter the ride you take in life.
