Secret Escapes appoints global brand development director

Online travel agent Secret Escapes has hired Louise Nolder as its new global brand development director.

Nolder, who has been consulting with the brand for the past year, helped to develop the recent ‘I shouldn’t even be here’ campaign by Droga5 London. 

Reporting to chief marketing officer Cian Weeresinghe and co-founder Tom Valentine, Nolder is tasked with creating extra brand value across the group’s expanding geographies and offerings.

"As a high-growth business, we are always looking for ways to increase our pace and power. Louise combines a wealth of customer and communications experience with the ability to hunt down creative solutions for new commercial opportunities," Weeresinghe said. 

Prior to her consultant role with Secret Escapes, Nolder was head of brand and communications at JustGiving. Before this she spent more than 15 years agency-side as a senior planner, first at Ogilvy and then Abbott Mead Vickers, working on a range of global and local brands including Dove, BT, Birds Eye and Aviva.

"Unlike many start-ups, Secret Escapes invested in broadcast as well as performance marketing from early on, so I’m joining a talented team that knows how to challenge convention. We will be supporting our brand ambition to combine seductive luxury with powerful e-commerce," Nolder said.
