Sheba has released a series of documentaries highlighting how cats can reduce stress and provide love and comfort.
The first film explores the world of feline rehabilitation inside a jail, while the second episode tells the story of an Iraq war veteran and cattle rancher who readjusts to civilian life with the help of a cat. The final instalment will follow a cat’s attempt to be the first feline to climb the "Edge of Time" peak in Estes National Park with his "cat momma" Sandra.
The series was written by Nicholas Hulley and Nadja Lossgott, executive creative directors at AMV BBDO, and shot by Geoffrey O'Connor, the Academy Award nominated director behind Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends.
Hulley and Lossgott said: "We all know the joke that cats rule the world, but the process of bringing these stories to life has shown us that the power they have over us is far richer and far more powerful than we ever imagined. Cats have the power to heal us, restore our well-being and to make us better people."
