Shelton becomes first director at newly formed Moon

Moon, the production company recently founded by Mike Stephenson,

has appointed Dave Shelton as its first director.

Shelton, one of the four founding partners of HHCL & Partners'

Advertising Brasserie alongside Mischa Alexander, Chris McDonald and Liz

Whiston, was previously an art director at HHCL for seven years.

During his time working at the Advertising Brasserie, which broke away

from HHCL in 1998, Shelton directed the "Define your own universe"

campaign for LineOne that featured Malcolm McDowell playing God, as well

as the launch campaign for the alcoholic drink Metz.

He has also worked on campaigns for Paxo, Ronseal, the Paramount Comedy

Channel and the Disney Channel.

Stephenson, who left the Paul Weiland Film Company to set up Moon with

Linda Peryer last month, said: "We were attracted by the freshness and

vitality of Dave's directing, as well as the craft and style that drives

it."

Shelton said: "I've had a lot of experience directing commercials that

I've written and so I'm excited about working with teams on scripts that

I wish I'd written.

"I'm also really looking forward to joining Moon and working alongside

Mike, who is well established as one of the industry's great craftsmen."
