Silburn mulls offer of ECD role at TBWA

Paul Silburn, the joint executive creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi, is considering a return to TBWA\London as its executive creative director.

Tim Lindsay, the president of TBWA\UK & Ireland Group, has offered the role to Silburn, who is deciding whether or not to accept. Discussions are at the contract stage, and it is understood that a decision is imminent.

His appointment would end a seven-month search by the agency to replace Steve Henry, the former executive creative director, who left in July 2008.

Silburn left TBWA in 2004 to take over as the executive creative director at Fallon Minneapolis. His reign ended in controversy just 11 months later when he was fired by Pat Fallon, who cited Fallon's "lack of progress" and "need for change" for the decision.

Silburn has worked as the joint executive creative director at Saatchis alongside Kate Stanners for just over a year.

His career also includes spells at Simons Palmer Denton Clemmow Johnson, Bartle Bogle Hegarty, Lowe Lintas and Leo Burnett.
