- The high-end computer manufacturer, Silicon Graphics, plans to change its name to SGI.

The name change comes as part of an ongoing brand review which the workstation-to-super computer company has been engaged in with the West Coast consultants, Landor Associates.

The new image will be rolled out as part of an upcoming £6 million ($10 million) global ad campaign that is due to break in the autumn.

The campaign will be the first work for SGI's agency, McCann-Erickson Worldwide, San Francisco, which won the global account earlier this year.
