Simon Marshall, Ogilvy-One’s regional client services director on

its pan-European American Express business, has been lured to the

below-the-line specialist Publicis Dialog, where he takes up the

managing director position.

Reporting to John Wisbey, the agency’s chief executive, his task will be

to head operations and oversee a growing portfolio of accounts.

At Ogilvy One, Marshall led the 16-strong American Express team in

London, the central hub of American Express’ European marketing

operations. Marshall was also responsible for co-ordinating activity

across other European countries.

Since the direct marketing outfit of Publicis Group opened its doors in

spring 1998, senior personnel have passed through them at a rapid

rate.

Wisbey is Publicis Dialog’s third chief executive in just over a

year.

Marshall succeeds the previous managing director, Dianne Canady, who

left in March 2000 to set up her own company.
