Simon Tiffin picked to be the next editor of NatMags' Esquire

The National Magazine Company has appointed Simon Tiffin as the editor of the men's magazine Esquire.

Tiffin, currently the deputy editor of Esquire's sister title Harpers & Queen, takes over from Peter Howarth in December. He joined NatMags two years ago from Conde Nast, where he was the editor of GQ Active.

Howarth is leaving the magazine to pursue other interests, including writing a novel.

Esquire's most recent circulation of 62,005 was static on the previous period.

Tiffin said: "I'm absolutely thrilled and honoured to be taking over the best job in the men's magazine business. Esquire is in great shape as the grown-up read for men and I can think of no better job in the world."
