SmartFocus acquires Aims Software with Bloom as MD

LONDON - SmartFocus Group has acquired Aims Software to create the only European based vendor of enterprise marketing management software, with Curt Bloom appointed as managing director of European operations.

Prior to joining SmartFocus, Bloom was managing director of the EMEA operations for Unica, the US-based enterprise marketing management software seller.

Bloom will be working with the existing management team to develop Smartfocus France, bringing 20 years' experience as a senior executive responsible for international software business development in Europe, Asia and North America.

John Charles, chairman of SmartFocus, said: "SmartFocus has combined the two best of breed European analytics and campaign management software technologies and with over 195 customers and partners is clearly a strong and growing international vendor."

The group now claims the largest team of marketing solutions experts in Europe and has been developed to enable organisations to improve the productivity and efficiency of their marketing programmes.

The combined Smartfocus Group has over 195 customers and partners in 17 countries worldwide across financial services, consumer packaged goods, telecoms and utilities, publishing, retail and travel and leisure. Clients include ACNielsen, Air France, Kraft, Procter & Gamble and News International.
