Smith and Pam are Clemmow Hornby's first creative hirings

Clemmow Hornby Inge has hired Laurie Smith and Matt Pam, two former

Campaign Faces To Watch, as its first creative team.

The start-up, which opens its doors on 2 July, hired Smith and Pam after

they worked at the agency as freelancers.

Smith, a copywriter, and Pam, an art director, hit the headlines for the

controversial "FCUKinkybugger" ad for French Connection, which attracted

a hoard of complaints to the ASA.

They began freelancing at Clemmow Hornby after a placement at

TBWA/London and Bartle Bogle Hegarty. They joined TBWA straight from

Buckinghamshire College, where they studied advertising. After

completing two placements there, and working on French Connection, the

Science Museum and an ITV pitch, they joined Alphabet Advertising, where

they worked for six months.

Since then they've been on placement at BBH.

Simon Clemmow, a founder of the agency, said: "They've got a great book

and they'll work across all our accounts."
