A Bloomberg survey found that Snapchat is seeing fast growth as it had 110 million people using it every day in December.
It added that Twitter, which was founded ten years ago, has fewer than 140 million daily users. In its most recent earnings report, the company said it had 310 million monthly active users.
Snapchat has been broadening its advertiser base in the UK with the Department for Transport spending £70,000. Burberry, Universal, Coca-Cola, Calvin Klein, Unilever and Domino’s are also adding the four-year-old app to their marketing plans.
