The space is designed to experience what it’s like to play music in multiple rooms and help people choose the best sound system for their home.
It features "state-of-the-art listening rooms" which have two house-shaped structures to "emulate a real multi-room home listening space", similar to the Sonos store in New York. Visitors will be able to stream their own music to the rooms.
The store will have "vibrant textures" such as custom bevelled glass walls, hand woven rugs and bespoke bookshelves that are designed to improve the acoustics in the space.
The interior design has been handled by designers Camille Walala and Neil Raitt.
There will also be events taking place at the store including Sonos presents Song Stories: Bowie which will honour the late artist’s work and legacy.
A live broadcast of a 16-hour in-store programme, co-curated by DJ’s Ross Allen, Charlie Bones, Nabihah Iqbal and Bullion, will also explore the life of Bowie.
The store opens on 16 November in Covent Garden.
Whitney Walker, general store manager at Sonos, said: "The entire store experience is based on the idea of being in a really comfortable and inspiring environment.
"We have carefully considered how people bring music into their home environment through curation, and used it within the concept store to pay homage to the great city of London and the culture that was born here and continues to inspire the world."
