St Luke’s beat Karmarama and Krow, while MediaCom defeated Universal McCann and the7stars, in a process led by the Majestic marketing director, David Sinfield, run through the AAR.
The wine retailer has not previously used brand advertising, focusing instead on direct marketing. Haygarth, which handles DM for Majestic, will continue to work for the brand.
Majestic is keen to build on its success after posting strong financial results last month and is planning to double its number of stores to 330, having opened 12 in the past year.
The company announced pre-tax profits of £20.3 million in the year to March, and beat market expectations with total sales jumping 10 per cent to £257.3 million.
