A website selling artists’ work via the internet has appointed

Starcom Motive Partnership to handle the media planning and buying for

its pounds 4 million global campaign.

Eyestorm.com, which launches its advertising campaign at the end of the

month, features exclusive work from artists such as Damien Hirst, Andy

Warhol and David Hockney.

Starcom Motive, which was appointed this week, will be responsible for

both on- and offline media activity.

It pitched for the account alongside the creative agency Bartle Bogle

Hegarty, which won the business earlier this year.

’Eyestorm has a genuinely global proposition that is targeting a clearly

defined group,’ Iain Jacob, the executive client services director at

Starcom Motive, said. ’It is a fascinating challenge.’

The company launched the website in December last year aiming to

revolutionise the way that art is sold.

’Our aim is to demystify the art-buying process, which can be an

intimidating experience for many people,’ Don Smith, the chief executive

officer of Eyestorm, said.
