Starcom Mediavest Group win Grand Prix at inaugural Digital Cinema Media awards

Starcom Mediavest Group has won Best Use of Cinema in an Integrated Campaign and the Grand Prix for Heineken's "Open Your Cities" at the Digital Cinema Media awards, held in association with Campaign and Media Week.

Vizeum scooped Best Use of Dynamic Targeting in Cinema for Mini’s "Mini at the Movies," the first ever regionalised cinema campaign across the UK.

Mediacom won Best Long-term Cinema Campaign for Volkswagen’s "Volkswagen and Independent Cinema", with Volkswagen supporting Independent Cinema for over a decade.

MediaCom also triumphed in Best Use of Innovation in Cinema for its First Choice campaign, "alll-inclusive family ticket" which introduced the first all-inclusive family cinema ticket.

Manning Gottlieb OMD’s Specsavers "should’ve gone to the movies" was awarded Best Newcomer to Cinema.

Karen Stacey, the chief executive of Digital Cinema Media, said: "The quality of entries to the Digital Cinema Media Awards has exceeded all our expectation and the bar has certainly been set high for next year".

Stacey added she hoped that these awards would inspire the industry to maximise the power of cinema for years to come.
