Starcom picked up the account, which is run out of Spain, following a three-way pitch against Optimedia and Media Planning Group. The media business was previously handled in-house.
The account will be led by Starcom in Barcelona, which is charged with creating the brand's international media strategy and co-ordinating its implementation across markets in Europe and the US.
Starcom UK will be responsible for media planning and buying and adapting the international strategy to the local market.
The UK portion of the account is worth £2 million and the majority of the spend will be invested in outdoor and ambient media.
Phil McAveety, the brand director at Camper, said: "We felt Starcom had best understood our marketing brief."
