Starcom wins $80m Sara Lee US media buying business

- Sara Lee has appointed Starcom Media, part of Leo Burnett, to its $80 million (£48 million) US media buying business following a four way competitive pitch.

The competing agencies were the incumbent Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York -- which pitched alongside its sister Interpublic Group agency, Western International Media -- the Omnicom-owned Optimum Media and Grey's media brand, MediaCom. The business includes the US broadcast and print media buying.
