Strongbow has given one football fan the chance to score a penalty against a professional goalkeeper in the latest instalment of its "earn it" campaign. St Luke’s created the activity, which aired on 19 November during England’s friendly match against Germany. The ad features Jared, who was picked from thousands of applicants, trained by the former England player Stuart Pearce and then given the opportunity to take a penalty against the Germany goalkeeper Rene Adler. The 30-second TV spot only showed the build-up, however, with viewers directed to Strongbow’s website after 8pm to see whether Jared scores. The work was written by Ed Redgrave, art directed by Dave Wigglesworth and directed by Marcus Jones through Connected Pictures.
