Subway upsets vegans in an attempt to promote its meat-free sandwich.
The Veganuary-centred spot bring meat-free eaters together to taste the brand’s Meatless Meatball Marinara Sub. Foodies are pleased with the result, until one spreads the rumour that they have just tasted the meat version of the sandwich, causing outrage among the participants.
Luckily, the spot ends as the group is assured that their food is meat-free.
The campaign will run for six weeks across TV, print, radio, out-of-home, digital, social media and cinema. The spot was directed by Sam Cadman through Another Film Company. The media agency is Mediacom.
Last year, Subway parodied the outrage of Neapolitans as the brand launched its Pizza Sub.
