Suckley and Robins plan start-up again

Nick Suckley and Pete Robins, who recently resigned as the managing director and media director of Media.Com, are planning a start-up digital media agency for the second time.

The third partner in the new venture, which has yet to be named, will be Rhys Williams, a group head at Media.Com.

Neither Suckley nor Robins would comment on the venture, other than to confirm that a start-up was on the cards. Both are understood to be negotiating with Media. Com over leaving dates and are contracted to remain at the agency until January 2006.

A replacement for Suckley was confirmed this week, when Kirsti Wilson, the ex-head of interactive at BT, was appointed the managing director after turning down the digital director's job at Initiative. Robins' replacement is yet to be announced.

Suckley and Robins have some cash in their pockets, and experience of setting up businesses - they sold Media21, their first successful start-up, to Grey in May 2000.
