The business is worth £20 million in the UK, for which MediaCom is the incumbent. Havas Media, Vizeum and ZenithOptimedia were on the shortlist along with MediaCom.

Group M said it created a bespoke agency solution, called Team Spark which is designed to drive "local market empowerment which operates under a single planning process".

Suntory, which owns Ribena, Orangina and Lucozade, kicked off the review in April. The process was handled by ID Comms.

J Walter Thompson London picked up the Ribena UK account in February after fending off competition from Mother and VCCP. Grey London was involved at an earlier stage.

Grey London won the Orangina UK creative business in October last year after a competitive pitch process. The agency also works on the Lucozade account and the global Ribena business.

Dominic Grainger, the chief executive for Group M Europe, Middle East and Africa said, "We admire Suntory’s philosophy, ‘Yatte Minahare,’ and their relentless pursuit of greater success.

"We’re excited to continue supporting the growth of SBFE’s brands with a progressive media approach builton the management of data, innovation and technology."
