The brand will debut on UK TV using executions that have already run in the US, created by Young Advertising. Press ads will also appear in magazines including OK!, You and Bella.
Sutter Home has secured distribution through PLB Wines in Safeway, Morrisons and Asda. It was previously only available through independent off-licences.
It will launch nine of the 13 wines available in the US in the UK, with the most significant marketing activity supporting its rose. Sutter Home's range covers basic reds and whites from £3.99 through to Reserve offerings for £6.99.
It will also introduce Fre, an alcohol-free wine brand, which is already the best selling alcohol-free wine in the US. The line is available in several different varieties, something it claims has not been offered as part of alcohol-free products before.
The two wine ranges will target pubs and bars, as well as the take-home market.
Sutter Home is one of several wine brands controlled by Trinchero Family Estates, a family-owned Californian company which offers wines from the US, as well as Australia.
