TBWA\Chiat\Day New York releases latest Skittles ad

LONDON - TBWA\Chiat\Day New York has unveiled its latest US TV spot for Skittles, featuring a man ageing rapidly, thanks to an hourglass filled with Skittles.

The man's ageing process is hastened by his friend, who speeds up time by sneakily eating the sweets out of the hourglass.

The ad is the latest in a series by the agency, including the much-lauded "touch", which won numerous awards during 2008.

Bloggers have called the latest ad an improvement, after some mediocre spots in the series.

Ben Kay, the author of If This Is a Blog Then What's Christmas, said: "It's not the best because it's difficult to reach the heights of 'touch', 'piñata' and 'sour', and it's not the worst because Skittles has been a bit patchy of late, but this is definitely a step back in the right direction."
