TBWA\London nets £30m Expekt account

TBWA\London has picked up the £30 million global advertising account for the online betting and gaming brand Expekt without a pitch.

The agency has been briefed to develop a campaign to establish the brand in the UK and mainland Europe.

TBWA is currently working on a through-the-line campaign that is due to launch later in the year. TBWA\London is handling the account centrally, while the network's Swedish and Italian offices will handle the Nordic and Central Eastern European regions respectively.

TBWA was appointed by Expekt's marketing director, Kenneth Arnstrom.

He said: "TBWA's disruption days sparked the Expekt marketing organisation. We will work to build a consumer brand in the gaming industry."

Matt Shepherd-Smith, the chief executive of TBWA\ London, added: "Expekt.com is a brand on the march. It is a fascinating company."
