The outdoor company TDI has restructured its management as it plans
to consolidate its position in Europe.
TDI’s executive director, Tom Goddard, takes up the new post of chief
operating officer, TDI Europe. He will help run TDI’s expanded European
operations as well as seeking new development opportunities.
Clive Punter, TDI’s national sales director for the UK, will become
joint managing director, alongside Andrew Oldham, who is the UK
Punter will head the sales and marketing side of TDI UK and focus on
boosting the company’s regional sales operation. Oldham will look after
franchise contracts, development and production.
Mike Baker, the UK marketing director, has been promoted to the new
position of marketing director for Europe, overseeing marketing across
all of TDI’s European offices. Andy Moug, the UK regional sales
director, will move to France to work on Giraudy’s sales drive.
TDI Europe acquired Giraudy in France, Mediamax in Holland and Liikkuvat
in Finland last year.
Giraudy’s chairman and chief executive, Michel Cacouault, has been
appointed to TDI Europe’s board.
Jeremy Male, the chief executive of TDI Europe, said: ’I shall not be
relinquishing my UK responsibilities, but we have to recognise that the
business has grown significantly. It is now time to recognise the
contribution that our senior managers have made to the business over the
past few years and find the best structure for the future in the light
of our expansion.’
