The outdoor company TDI has restructured its management as it plans

to consolidate its position in Europe.

TDI’s executive director, Tom Goddard, takes up the new post of chief

operating officer, TDI Europe. He will help run TDI’s expanded European

operations as well as seeking new development opportunities.

Clive Punter, TDI’s national sales director for the UK, will become

joint managing director, alongside Andrew Oldham, who is the UK

commercial director.

Punter will head the sales and marketing side of TDI UK and focus on

boosting the company’s regional sales operation. Oldham will look after

franchise contracts, development and production.

Mike Baker, the UK marketing director, has been promoted to the new

position of marketing director for Europe, overseeing marketing across

all of TDI’s European offices. Andy Moug, the UK regional sales

director, will move to France to work on Giraudy’s sales drive.

TDI Europe acquired Giraudy in France, Mediamax in Holland and Liikkuvat

in Finland last year.

Giraudy’s chairman and chief executive, Michel Cacouault, has been

appointed to TDI Europe’s board.

Jeremy Male, the chief executive of TDI Europe, said: ’I shall not be

relinquishing my UK responsibilities, but we have to recognise that the

business has grown significantly. It is now time to recognise the

contribution that our senior managers have made to the business over the

past few years and find the best structure for the future in the light

of our expansion.’
