Team Saatchi has created a raunchy new print campaign for the bed

manufacturer, the Iron Bed Company, which emphasises that sleeping is

not the only thing that goes on between the sheets.

’Sorry I’m late, I couldn’t get out of bed,’ declares one headline -

above a picture in sepia tones showing a pair of sawn-through handcuffs

dangling from the headboard.

’Since we bought an Iron Bed he hasn’t stopped moaning,’ proclaims

another ad, which shows a tangle of arms, legs and duvets.

The pounds 500,000 campaign breaks during May in home interest magazines

including Good Housekeeping and in the Sunday supplements of national

newspapers.

Paul Chichester-Constable, account director at Team Saatchi, commented:

’Our campaign recognises that beds have an important role to play in

people’s lives and acknowledges that sleeping is really only one part of

it.’

The campaign was written by Mark Davies and art directed by Paul Ryan,

with photography by Matthew Barlow. Media is handled by Equinox.
