Telegraph Group begins hunt for digital agency

LONDON - Telegraph Group is understood to be talking to agencies about its digital ad account as it seeks to increase its use of the internet as a way of communicating with readers.

The paper uses Hall Moore CHI for online marketing, but this pitch is understood to involve new projects.

The move comes as Telegraph Group increases online investment. In November, it hired Sonia Sudhakar, the head of CRM at lastminute. com, as its head of online marketing. Her hiring followed that of Annelies van den Belt, who joined as the group's new media director in May. Both van den Belt and Katie Vanneck, Telegraph Group's marketing director, are ex-Times Newspapers digital directors.

Vanneck said: "Telegraph Group is not looking to repitch its digital work. We are happy with Hall Moore CHI."
