Teletext selects Vizeum for £6m media business

Teletext has hired Vizeum to its £6m media planning and buying account and DLKW Dialogue to its £2m online creative and e-mail marketing business.

The appointments are in preparation for the spring launch of satellite TV channel Teletext Holidays TV.

Vizeum won the business following a three-way pitch against ZenithOptimedia and a pairing of John Ayling Associates and i-level.

Incumbent Manning Gottlieb OMD, which had held the account for seven years, did not re-pitch.

DLKW Dialogue won the online creative and e-mail marketing business from incumbent Alcone. Sister agency Delaney Lund Knox Warren holds the offline creative account.

Teletext marketing director Marc Bell, who led the reviews, expects customer-segmented e-mail marketing to play an increasingly important role in future growth.

Vizeum's Teletext account team will be led by managing director Trista Grant alongside communications planning director Stuart Newman.
