The company found that despite having almost 80,000 followers, @UKTesco answers 65% of user questions in an average of 81 minutes in its survey for Q1.
@VodafoneUK and @O2 were second and third place, respectively, in the top worldwide rankings, meaning UK companies dominated the global top ten.
Socialbakers also found that while the telecommunications, airline and finance industries are the best performing industries, fashion and retail have been getting better at social customer care.
Jan Rezab, the chief executive of Socialbakers, said: "Twitter enables a certain open conversation and allows brands to address their customers’ needs immediately and directly. More and more brands are appreciating the value of utilising social media, and Twitter in particular, to relate to their customers and address their concerns."
