- Ethiopian Airlines has awarded its global advertising account to the Thai agency Spaulding & Håwi DDB, making it the first in Thailand to win a global account.
The Bangkok-based agency won the 240 million baht (£4 million) campaign following a three-way competitive pitch. Names of the competing agencies were not disclosed.
The first campaign will run on TV and press and will target markets in Europe and the United States. The first work will run on CNN and appear in Time, the Washington Post and New York Times.
Spaulding & Håwi DDB was founded in 1993 by Ron Spaulding and Thorleif Håwi and joined the DDB Needham network in 1995. Its clients include Chase Manhattan Bank, Johnson & Johnson, Mobil, Compaq and Volkswagen.
