Called "the thinkboxes", the awards will launch in May in association with Haymarket Brand Media, the parent of Campaign, and will be judged by a Thinkbox Academy, comprising more than 100 senior figures from the marketing and advertising community.
Simon Clift, the chief marketing officer at Unilever, and Leon Jaume, the executive creative director of WCRS, have been appointed as joint presidents of the Academy.
Each Thinkbox award will recognise the creative team and the director of the ad. There will be one overall winner each month, selected from entries across spot advertising, sponsorship idents, advertiser-funded programming, and commercial TV formats on mobile and the internet.
Up to ten pieces of work will be shortlisted each month, before being submitted to the Thinkbox Creative Academy for judging.
The winning advertiser, creative team and director will receive a specially designed award from Thinkbox.
Agencies and advertisers are invited to submit entries to Thinkbox by the last Friday of the month in which the work appeared. Entry details are available at www.thinkbox.tv.
