TK Maxx calls pitch for digital account

TK Maxx, the high-street retailer, has called a pitch for its digital account.

The successful agency will be briefed to redesign the company's brand website, following the recent launch of its dedicated homewares offering, HomeSense.

TK Maxx does not have an incumbent digital creative agency, but it has worked with Quantum Maze in the past.

The agency's most recent digital initiative, a "Virtual Me" Facebook application, enables users of the social networking site to create virtual representations of themselves, which they can dress in a variety of clothes and set as their profile picture.

TK Maxx produces the majority of its above-the-line advertising in-house, and recently launched a campaign featuring models driving its delivery trucks.

The search for a digital agency does not affect the media planning and buying account, which is held by MindShare. The agency secured the £6.4 million business in June 2007, following a pitch against BLM Media and MPG.
