TK Maxx’s Christmas ad, released in the same week as Debenhams, Marks & Spencer and John Lewis launched their festive campaigns, focuses on the joys of giving gifts. The Brooklyn Brothers created the spot, which is shot in slow motion and shows people’s faces lighting up as they receive gifts. It ends with the line: "Gifts as unique as they are." The soundtrack is an orchestral version of Yazoo’s Only You, which is being released on iTunes. The work was directed by James Strong, who has shot Downton Abbey and Broadchurch, through Generator. The media agency was Mindshare.
