TMG launches Telegraph Widgets suite

LONDON - Telegraph Media Group has launched several online widgets to provide users with up-to-the-minute news, sport and TV programmes on their mobile or desktop.

Telegraph Widgets give users the opportunity to select what content they want and have it regularly updated wherever they want.

The online suite of widgets features applications for news, Euro 2008 and six different Telegraph TV segments, including Telegraph TV news, business, arts and entertainment.

Cricket, premiership football and business news widgets will be introduced later this month.

The widgets are available from Telegraph.co.uk and on iGoogle. They are also being actively distributed across social network sites such as Facebook.

Mike Moore, general manager of digital at TMG, said: "As a multimedia group, TMG offer a variety of platforms to bring you the content you want, in the form you want, when you want it.

"Our widgets offer unrivalled quality, functionality and ease of use, and are a new way to inject our quality content into the social media world and share our content and services on an international scale. The widgets also create interesting ways for us to engage other digital media companies."
