Carolyn Childs, who has 19 years experience with the TRC, will now take the position of travel and leisure research director for TNS Australia.
The acquisition is in line with TNS's global strategy to be the leader in this market, according to James Hall, regional managing director of TNS Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa.
"This sector is a major area of expansion for TNS, particularly in the Asia Pacific region and we have recently appointed Murray Campbell as regional director of TNS travel and leisure to reflect this," Hall said.In the UK, TNS has an established travel and tourism division, headed by Tom Costley. It is the market leader in leisure, tourism and travel research.
