Tony Douglas unveils match-making shop

Tony Douglas, the former COI Communications chief executive and agency boss, is teaming up with two other senior industry figures to launch a consultancy that will match clients with agencies.

His partners are Dennis Lay, the former Publicis executive media director and managing director of CIA Medianetwork International, and Chris Dickens, a former group chairman of Young & Rubicam in London and a one-time media director of Leo Burnett.

The new operation, to be called Inside View, claims it will provide a high-level bespoke service on agency motivation, evaluation, search and selection.

Its partners claim that their experience of handling major international accounts as well as managing agency network offices puts them in an ideal position to service clients' global needs.

Their service will be available to clients wishing to operate outside the UK as well as those headquartered abroad who have international communication requirements.

In a message to business prospects, the partners say: "We feel confident that our experience will allow us to talk to clients at the most senior levels about all aspects of their business. Ideally, we will be involved when changes to corporate strategy are being discussed so that we can advise clients on how best to address the issues that face them."

Douglas was unavailable for comment as Campaign went to press.
