Topshop creates market-style fashion experience

Retailer Topshop is giving 40 brands the opportunity to showcase their ideas and form part of the Topshop showspace at this year's LFW.

Taking place this weekend (17-18 September), Topshop Unique, devised in partnership with Appear Here, and located at Old Spitalfields Market, will create a one-of-a-kind market experience. A catwalk will be surrounded by 40 stalls featuring a curated selection of fashion, design and lifestyle brands. Both guests and members of the public will be able to shop at the stalls over the weekend.

Brands featured on the market stalls include florists such as Bloomon and Ro Co; foodies such as Spoon Cereals and Pearl & Groove; plus makers and designers including Finlay & Co and BlueGuy Pottery. All of the brands, selected by Appear Here and Topshop, represent some of the most exciting new design talent in London.

Ross Bailey, founder of Appear Here said: "Topshop leads the way when it comes to embracing innovation and experimentation and it has been great to work with them on this project. London Fashion Week is a huge moment in the fashion calendar and it’s amazing to be able to give so many of Appear Here’s users a chance to be a part of it."

Appear Here first partnered with Topshop in September last year to launch In-Residence: a collection of concession spaces within the world’s best stores and boutiques. The collaboration launched with 20 pop-up concession spaces in the Topshop Topman flagship store on Oxford Street. The opportunity has now been expanded to include Topshop Liverpool and six further stores in the coming months.

Earlier this year, Topshop teamed up with corporate innovation specialist L Marks to create Top Pitch, a start-up bootcamp that aims to unearth the next big thing in affordable fashion technology
