LBi has appointed Jonathan Lyon, head of strategic insight at Wunderman, as its global director of strategic insight. (Campaign)

Leo Burnett London has poached the JWT creative director Hugh Todd. Todd joins Leo Burnett in the same role and will work across a range of key clients including The Co-operative, which the agency won last year. (Campaign)

Ogilvy & Mather UK has appointed Cheryl Giovannoni, the president of the WPP agency's sister branding consultancy Landor Associates, as its new chief executive, replacing Hugh Baillie. (Campaign)

Sid Lee has appointed Mac Macdonald as the first president of its Amsterdam office. (Campaign)

Alistair Duncan, co-founder of Jaguar's global in-house agency Spark44 and former chief executive of MRM Worldwide, has been hired by Midlands-based Connect Advertising and Marketing to establish a London office. (Campaign)


Burberry has hired Kaitlyn Wilkins, a director of Ogilvy's social media business, to become its global director of social media following the departure of Musa Tariq in October. (Marketing)

Google has hired Graham Bednash, a co-founder of the communications planning agency Michaelides & Bednash, as its EMEA consumer marketing director. (Marketing)


Microsoft has promoted Andy Hart, general manager of its advertising and online (A&O) division in the UK, to the new position of vice-president A&O Europe, and has replaced him with its Canadian leader Owen Sagness. (Media Week)

OMD UK has hired Channel 4's digital lead, Carl Read, as the new head of digital following the departure of David Hompe. (Media Week)


Starbucks has recruited Pagefield partner Simon Redfern as UK corporate affairs chief in the wake of the damaging corporation tax affair. (PR Week)

The Royal Mail's head of digital communications and communications planning Abby Guthkelch is leaving in April to join Ketchum. (PR Week)

Ogilvy PR London is bolstering its issues and crisis capabilities with the establishment of its first dedicated crisis practice. Ben Lock will lead the crisis practice, reporting to the division’s head, Iain Bundred. (PR Week)
