The new site aims to conjure up images of a traditional, homely, Italian restaurant, serving good quality, wholesome food in a relaxed but rich environment.
Photo-realistic elements have been incorporated into the design to give it a more authentic feel. It also includes a kids' section, members' area and shop, as well as the standard features such as a menu and information on Bella Italia branches.
The new site was developed by Magnitude, and represents the third site the digital agency has launched for Tragus this year.Last month it developed and launched a new site for Tragus' Cafe Rouge chain. Caferouge.co.uk incorporates subtle detailing aiming to bring a little bit of 'Vive la France' to every visitor.
Tragus also launched an online presence for its new venture, a Spanish tapas chain called Ortega, which aims to complement the flagship Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge brands. The first Ortega launched in Harlow, Essex, in July and a second branch has since opened in the City.
The sites all have their own distinctive feel to represent the different restaurants and cuisine they offer, but all were designed to meet accessibility guidelines and be open to as wide an audience as possible.
