Trainline's new campaign begins with a 60-second TV spot, shot by Ringan Ledwidge, which will debut during X Factor on 12 September.
Anomaly London, which won Trainline’s creative account in June after a competitive pitch, created the ad. The light-hearted spot introduces Train Man, who knows all the tricks and cheats to stay ahead of the crowd at train stations, and who pays less than other passengers because he books ahead with Trainline.com. The ad ends with Train Man letting out a sort of battle cry on the platform, emulating the horn of a train. The new campaign coincides with Trainline's rebrand and is designed to push more people into downloading the app.
