TfL's funfair-style exhibition stand has been designed by Swiss designers Loris and Livia for the event, which runs from 22-25 September. The pair have taken the rubber flooring used in London Underground trains as inspiration to create a speckled micro funfair where visitors are invited to challenge themselves to a 'three balls in a row' game to win table mats from Loris and Livia's new TfL-inspired 'Wonderground' range of products, or a souvenir.

The stand will showcase Loris and Livia's 'Wonderground' range of products, as well as products from and Vallila. The homeware products, which includes fabric, cushions, lighting and furniture, have been designed to celebrate the role TfL has played in the architectural expansion of London’s housing stock.

TfL's presence is a continuation of its ‘Transported by Design’ series of events and projects, which included the recent one-day festival for 400,000 people on Regent Street in July that celebrated the past, present and future of transport design.

Also, as part of Design Junction, there will be a Twitter Machine, created to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of the iconic Johnston typeface designed by Edward Johnston for the Underground Group in 1916. The machine will stamp out Twitter messages in Johnston type, taking new digital technologies and reverting them back to printed paper.

Design Junction will move to the University of the Art's campus at King’s Cross, London this year. The event is part of the London Design Festival, which runs from 17-25 September. Champagne brand Perrier-Jouët is also activating at the festival, where it will unveil L'Eden by Perrier-Jouët, an immersive experience themed around a vision of nature.
