Travelocity picks up fourth Aerial Award

Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy has continued its domination of the Aerial Awards, with another accolade for its Travelocity campaign.

The MCBD creative team Dave Hobbs and Richard Stoney won November's Award, held in association with Campaign, for a new Travelocity execution entitled "helium".

The ad features Alan Whicker inhaling helium in a hot-air balloon over Kenya.

This month's Aerials judge, Will Awdry, the creative director of DDB London, said: "I had admired the Travelocity campaign along with everyone else, but the 'helium' radio ad is a work of genius."

This is the fourth Aerial MCBD's Travelocity work has won. Last month, it scooped the gold award at the annual Aerials final.

The joint runners-up were two ads for Mothercare, both of which were written by Alan Young, Julian Vizard and Tim Collins from St Luke's.
