Tribal DDB poaches's Bill Brock for managing director role

Tribal DDB has appointed Bill Brock, the sales and marketing director of the rival digital agency, as its new managing director. Brock replaces Ciaran Deering, who resigned in March to pursue projects outside the industry.

Brock, who takes up his new position on 20 June, has ten years' experience in digital marketing, having worked in San Francisco for Red Sky and before moving to London in 2004. Brock will report to the DDB chairman and chief executive, Paul Hammersley.

"Tribal already has the strategic and creative skills but Bill brings commercial nous as well as personality and drive," Hammersley said. "Tribal is a network digital agency but I want it to compete with the top local agencies and Bill will help make that happen."
