This campaign to get young people to vote in the European Union referendum makes Brittaney Kiefer cringe.

It’s as if my grandpa read Urban Dictionary to brush up on ‘youth lingo’ before talking to me, except that would actually be endearing. Dropping the ‘g’ from words is a lazy strategy for reaching younger voters and comes across as patronising.
