"Littlewoods held a pitch earlier this year and, instead of appointing an ad agency, took its creative in-house and made this snide little ad. It not only suggests that Santa Claus doesn't exist, but shows small children rating their mothers' worth on the basis of the flashy presents they've bought. The Advertising Standards Authority has already been inundated with complaints. It hasn't been banned, though, which is a shame."
