Uefa Champions League scores for ITV

LONDON - Over 5.3m viewers tuned into ITV1 last night to watch Dimitar Berbatov strike two goals for Manchester United as the Reds battled Celtic in the Uefa Champions League.

The 3-0 victory for Manchester United was watched by a 23% audience share beginning in the 8pm time slot, according to unofficial overnight figures.

In the 9pm slot BBC One's comedy drama 'Sunshine' delivered its final instalment, which was watched by 3.9m, following strong performances the previous two weeks averaging just under 4m viewers per episode.

The bittersweet series, penned by Craig Cash and Phil Mealey, claimed a 17.4% audience share and continued to trounce Channel 4's 'Jamie Ministry's of Food' which dropped further from last week's figures.

Despite negative press coverage, Jamie Oliver's well-to-do crusade to breed some culinary flair in the locals in Rotherham was watched by 2.4m on Channel 4 last night, enough for a 10.3% audience share. An additional 158,700 tuned in at 10pm on Channel 4+1 giving the final Rotherham episode an 11% audience total for the evening.

'CSI: Miami' continued its consistent performance for Five drawing a 2.6m and an 11.3% chunk of the audience.

BBC Two's documentary 'British Style Genius' continued to lag behind, as just under 1m (4.3%) tuned in to watch this week's episode which pondered the influence of three of the UK's most radical designers -- John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and punk-icon Vivienne Westwood.
